Enshrouded 1.0 mage build planning

Plan a mage around mana, spell roles and the updated wand and staff interactions.

Choose what your spell slot solves

Begin with a damage spell you can use reliably, then decide whether your next slot should handle groups or control movement. The developer announcement identifies Entangle, Blizzard and Ball Lightning among the new choices.

That list establishes that these options exist; it does not establish which has the highest damage in your current equipment. Compare casting time and mana cost in the game before committing.

Treat wand and staff as a loadout

Keen Games describes Blast and Cast as a bridge from a wand critical hit to a staff attack. Read the current skill text, then practice the switch in a repeatable encounter.

A practical test is whether you can complete the sequence while retaining enough mana and space to recover. If the swap leaves you exposed, simplify the rotation before adding more damage choices.

Before investing in summons

Check the current descriptions of Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery. Pick the summon role you want, then compare its point cost with the survival and resource nodes you would give up.
